latlaussky It's unbelievable that one human could do this, alone. I can't imagine this being done better, by anybody. Blows my mind, moves my feet, releases me from the grime of my self's habitual un-appreciation of existence. Favorite track: Reason Over Heart.

about

My debut album I've worked on for the last three or four years, plenty more mixes and live mixes coming in the future!

Michigan producer Scott Bowman blurs the lines between EDM genres in the pursuit of creative freedom.  Born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, MI, Scott relocated to Los Angeles in 2012 in order to escape the confines of the mundane reality of the Mid-Western "office life" and mostly to study at Recording Connection to pursue his career in music producing, songwriting and audio engineering.  Playing guitar and drums in for several bands throughout his life, Scott spent the majority of his youth teaching guitar lessons to kids, playing shows with various bands, and writing/recording his own songs on an 8-track interface in his basement.  In 2011, upon hearing the gnarly bass growls and superb production of the song "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" by Skrillex, Scott immediately decided it was time to shift away from rock and roll and move into the magical, ever-evolving realm of electronic sound design and production.

In a rare era where originality is embraced over conformity, "Taste the Light" boldly captures Boman's unrelenting passion for music and his vision to push the boundaries of the modern EDM song. As artist, creator, and producer, he has spent the last four years tirelessly working to assimilate a completely unique fusion of modern EDM and various genres of music that inspired him growing up, including pop, metal, alternative rock, jazz and indie rock.  This isn't the typical 4/4 dance album, but rather a bold and progressive approach to electronic music and songwriting, taking the listener on a tour of uncharted territories of vast emotional and technical depth.  By integrating his past with some of the more current genres such as trap, future bass, house, deep house, chillwave, minimal, dubstep and lo-fi, the result is a truly unparalleled and unique sound. Due to his life-long dedication and passion for guitar playing, many of the songs feature the use of electric and acoustic guitars in conjunction with original grooving synthesized bass riffs, addictive drum patterns and ethereal synth melodies.  Boman believes that "Music is the ultimate medium for escaping reality, uniting people and opening minds.   Many people don't realize it, but music is actually secretly the most important thing in this world." His broad utilization of reverb, delay and ambience adds an almost "cinematic" type of feel to his songs, while still maintaining the simplicity, catchiness and dancey-ness of modern electronic music.

Debut album "Taste the Light" - available May 3, 2018.
